Machine Readable Passport (MRP) Machine Readable Passports are issued in
conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization
(ICAO) standards. Existing Manual passports will expire by 2010 A.D. and
will finally be replaced by Machine Readable Passports (MRPs).
Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply for MRP instead of Manual
Passport. §

basis during application processing time.

& Manual (Non-Machine Readable) Passports effective from May 2, 2006. Following is the list of revised fees*:

Nationals Dual Nationals are required to bring
a photocopy of their British Passport as well Lost Passport In case of Lost Passport, the
applicant has to produce
i)
A photocopy of his/her Lost Passport
ii)
Police Report containing Lost Passport No. NOTE: In case of a lost passport, MRP shall only
be delivered after the verification of the previous/manual passport from the
concerned issuing authority in Pakistan or Abroad, which may take one month or
more. Child Endorsement on
MRP Machine Readable Passport (MRP) is issued in conformity
with International Civil Aviation Organization
(ICAO)
standards. According to the ICAO
standards child endorsement is not allowed on parent’s passport.
Therefore child endorsement will not be done on the parents’ machine
readable passport. Instead of this; children (even under 18 years) will be
issued a separate Machine Readable Passport (MRP) Validity of Machine
Readable Passport (MRP) Machine Readable Passport (MRP) is issued for a period of
