Community Affairs

The post of the Community Welfare Attache' was abolished at the High Commission, London in May 2014. Since then, the Consular Officer at the High Commission is performing the duties of the Community Welfare department and is the designated focal person for the Consular and Community related matters.

The list of services provided by this section includes:

Service of summons issued from various courts of Pakistan.
Issuance of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation membership cards.
Help and facilities destitute Pakistanis.
Assistance to the Pakistani prisoners/detainees. Close coordination with UK Border Agency (UKBA) and Prisoner authorities to solve issues of Pakistani Prisoners, including regular prison visits.
Issuance of NOC for human remains.
Misc. issues e.g. Security threats, Murder / Robbery relating to Pakistan.
Resolution of complaints of overseas Pakistanis.
Police Character Certificates
