Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, inaugurated two landmark initiatives: “Provision of Land Record Services” and the “One Window Passport Processing System” at the Pakistan High Commission in London. These services fulfil Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment made at the April 2025 Overseas Pakistanis Convention, marking a transformative step toward efficient, transparent governance for our overseas Pakistanis.
The Land Record Services, collaboration between the Punjab Land Revenue Authority (PLRA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will allow British Pakistanis to remotely access and manage property records in Punjab without traveling to Pakistan. The digital suite includes online sale deeds, Fard (Record of Rights), e-Girdawari, mutation entries, and document attestation, all secured by blockchain technology to prevent fraud. With a dedicated Land Services Desk at Pakistan High Commission in London, the pilot phase will expand to other Consulates in the UK.
Simultaneously, the One Window Passport System, introduced by IMPASS, streamlines application processing by consolidating multiple steps into a single counter, reducing processing time to 10 minutes per application. This upgrade ensures faster service, reduced crowding, and enhanced transparency for British Pakistanis.
Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minster Ishaq Dar hailed the initiatives as "a digital leap toward protecting diaspora rights and boosting investments." He praised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Punjab Land Revenue Authority, NADRA and the High Commission for Pakistan in London for their collaboration, affirming, government’s vision for efficient, innovative, and responsive services to Overseas Pakistanis.
