National Union of Pakistani
Students and Alumni Research Placement Programme The National Union of Pakistani Students and
Alumni (nupsa.org) is pleased to
announce its latest pilot project, the Pakistani Research Placement Programme
(RPP). Under the initiative, current students/graduates are given the
opportunity to carry out world-class research within outstanding Universities
and Research Institutes in Pakistan. While helping promote greater
collaboration between research institutes of both countries, British students
will get the opportunity to work on research problems (Health; Education;
Ecology; IT) that are highly relevant to Pakistan as a developing nation.
All internships will be under the supervision of
LUMS faculty and will be based at the university. Some projects however, may
involve group fieldwork in varied locations depending on the nature of the
project. Projects are expected to run for an average duration of 6-12 weeks. Accommodation
for the duration of the research will be provided. Pakistani undergraduate/graduate students are
strongly encouraged to apply by downloading and filling out the form found at
the following address: http://nupsa.org/internships/how-to-apply. After an
initial screening, applicants will be put in direct contact with the
supervisors to finalise the details of the project. A number of
travel/research bursaries are also available. Please mention on your form
if you wish to be considered for funding, and/or if you require university
accommodation. Please note the DEADLINE for all completed
applications is 7th June 2010. Please direct all enquiries to: rpp@nupsa.org Best wishes Research Placement Program Team NUPSA PS: Opportunities for medical students and
