President Zardari writes to the Queen on Duke of Edinburgh HRH Prince Philip’s illness, wishes speedy recovery

  
Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has inquired after the health of the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip who is undergoing heart treatment in Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire and prayed for his early recovery. 

Prince Philip was admitted in the hospital on Friday and is reported to be processing well. 
  

Spokesperson to the President Mr. Farhatullah Babar said that the President said this in letter sent to the British monarch today. 
  
Following is the letter sent by President Zardari to Queen Elizabeth  

“I have learnt with concern about HRH Philip, Duke of Edinburgh's illness. It is, however, a relief to know that he is in the process of recovery after successful surgery. 

“On my behalf and on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, I would like to extend our sincere prayers for HRH Prince Philip's speedy and full recovery. 

“I would also like to avail this opportunity to present my earnest prayers for Your Majesty's personal health and long life. 

“Please accept, Your Majesty, the assurances of my highest consideration”
