Pakistani filmmaker Chinoy’s documentary gets Oscar nod  

 

LAHORE: Acclaimed Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and her film 'Saving Face' have been short listed for a nomination in the category of Best Documentary, Short Subject for the prestigious Academy Awards (Oscars).

 

The film, directed by Chinoy and co-directed by Daniel Jung, has been short listed as one of the eight documentaries from across the globe for the Best Documentary, Short Subject as announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. 'Saving Face' is set to air on America's premier television cable network HBO, in March 2012.
