Foreign Minister and High Commissioner felicitate Pakistan cricket team

 

Edgbaston: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi and High Commissioner for Pakistan to the UK, Mr. Wajid Shamsul Hasan  have felicitated Pakistan Cricket on winning Twenty20 series against  Australia by winning two matches consecutively.

 

The Foreign Minister was the Chief Guest at the second match played between Pakistan and Australia at Edgbaston on Tuesday 6 July.  He said that he was delighted to see the high spirits of the Pakistani team while playing a series that was to be played on home grounds. Pakistan won the match with 11 runs with Mohammad Aamer being Man of the Match.

 

High Commissioner for Pakistan to the UK, Mr. Wajid Shamsul Hasan appreciated the performance of the team and said that the team kept the spirit of cricket alive even if Pakistan could not hold the event on home ground. Mohammad Aamer was Awarded Man of the Match. Mr. Hasan particularly appreciated the crowd that supported the team whole heartedly.
